Sony has announced in a statement today that they will be bringing back online purchases of game content and?video on demand from the PlayStation Network and Qriocity in Japan starting 6 Jul 2011, completing the final stretch of the company?s 2 1/2 month restoration of its online operations after they were attacked by hackers.
These services have already been?reintroduced across other regions, but the Japanese authorities had pushed Sony hard to make sure they implemented additional security before allowing it to relaunch in Japan.
